Muskogee Patriotic Parade Honors Veterans and First Responders on September 11

Hundreds of Muskogee community members lined the streets of downtown on September 11, 2026, for the annual Patriotic Parade — a tradition honoring veterans and first responders who have served our nation and community.

The parade stepped off from North 6th Street, marched down Broadway Street, and concluded on 2nd Street through the heart of downtown Muskogee.

Leading the Way

The procession was led by the Muskogee High School Color Guard and the Rougher Regiment Drum Corps, who set the patriotic tone as the parade moved through the downtown corridor. The Color Guard carried the United States and Oklahoma state flags, while the drum corps kept a steady cadence for the marchers behind them.

A Community Celebration

The parade drew a diverse crowd of participants and spectators — from young children waving American flags to longtime veterans and first responders who were honored throughout the event. MHS cheerleaders, the Sadler Arts Academy, and dozens of other community organizations and families joined in the procession.

Veterans and first responders were recognized for their service and sacrifice, making September 11th a day of remembrance and gratitude for the Muskogee community.
